The exhibition New Images. A New Epoch. History of Early Photography in Salzburg (1839–1877). A guest appearance of the Salzburg Museum explores the early days of photography in Salzburg—from the 1840s to its establishment as a medium of bourgeois culture in the 1870s. In front of the camera: people, architecture, urban and natural landscapes in times of change. Behind it: pioneering photographers shaping the city's image with new technical innovations.
