After ten years as a young aspiring architect and designer, Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999 Paris, FR) left Le Corbusier's studio in 1937. There she was responsible for numerous furniture and interior design projects that are highly sought-after collector's items today. At the same time, she began to photograph extremely successfully and transferred her avant-garde architectural and design visions to the medium of photography by taking pictures of organic forms and material studies.
Together with the Kunstmuseen Krefeld and in close cooperation with the artist's estate in Paris, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg is organizing a comprehensive exhibition that takes into account Perriand's achievements in the fields of architecture and design as well as photography.
A publication will accompany the exhibition.
